In this gallery I am playing around with more abstract ideas as opposed to traditional landscapes and portraits.
Love On A Shoestring
Another abstract one. I must have seen this somewhere because I can't believe I came up with it by myself.
I Love You
My contribution to Valentine's Day.
Light Hearted
My first attempt at painting in Light. Not as easy as I had hoped. But I think with practise I can improve. An LED torch + a long exposure = Love
Bokeh
Intentional blurring of this street scene gave a very pleasing effect.
Time
My first attempt at something more abstract than my normal offerings. As usual my execution did not quite live up to my idea, but I'm sure I'll have another go at some point.
Isolation
For me the mood of a photograph can often be influenced by my mood at the time. Feelings of loneliness played a big part when this was taken.
Oil on the Tracks
Waiting on the Flying Scotsman to appear. See the previous photo for when it did.
Taken
Some fun with Photoshop.
Space Bar
The lockdown because of the COVID-19 virus means I have to make my own entertainment. I didn't get this 100% but I'm pleased with a first attempt. The idea is that even the Space Bar is empty. 🙂
Tree Of Light
From a display at Pitchcroft. This was actually a lucky accident when the tripod got nudged, but I liked the effect.
Saloon
A bar stool, at a bar, surrounded by friends.
British Summertime
Despite the rather depressing tone of this picture, it was actually taken whilst watching a friend's band totally blow the rainy weather away at my local pub. I just liked the way this looked.
Art Wall
A wall that features hundreds of the small pieces of art. This was just a small section.
Marsrise
A bit of fantasy fun. A composite of a photo I took last year in France and a stock photo of Mars.
A Night of Dreams
The disco lights at a friend's wedding made a beautiful scene on the hotel ceiling. Sadly no dSLR with me so my phone had to do.
